At Munkholm Zoo, we offer plenty of exciting animal encounters for both children and adults. With our map, it’s easy to plan which animals you’d like to see on your tour of the park.

Among other things, you can meet curious Barbary macaques, funny meerkats, impressive camels, charming ring-tailed lemurs, exotic servals, cute rabbits, fascinating reptiles, raccoons, zebra mongooses, and many other animals from all over the world.

Before you visit Munkholm Zoo, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the practical details. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the park’s size, activities, facilities, and the many animals you can see during your visit.

Our Munkholm Zoo covers an area of over 20,000 m² and is home to more than 80 different animal species from all over the world. We have designed the park so that both children and adults can get close to the animals and enjoy a pleasant experience at eye level. The map of the zoo provides an easy overview of the various animal enclosures, activities, and facilities.

Most of our guests spend between 2 and 4 hours at Munkholm Zoo. The length of your visit depends, among other things, on how many animals you want to see, whether you participate in activities and animal shows, or if you also visit the café and play areas. Today’s activities and animal shows are announced in the park and vary depending on the season and staffing. On the map, you can see where the various activities take place, so you can easily plan your route through the park. Restrooms, the café area, and other facilities are marked on the map of the garden, making them easy to find during your visit. The café offers light meals, snacks, ice cream, and beverages, while the restrooms are located in a central part of the park.
