Child-friendly mini zoo

Munkholm Zoo is a child-friendly paradise where visitors of all ages can enjoy a day full of experiences. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere so that children can freely explore the animals in a safe environment.

Our mini-zoo in Jutland is home to a wide variety of animals you can pet, and our skilled zookeepers put on exciting animal shows several times a day. Here, you’ll have the chance to get up close to both familiar and rarer animals while learning about their lifestyles, diets, and unique characteristics.

For our youngest visitors, there’s a special petting area where they can get up close to goats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, among other animals. In addition, you can buy feed at the park so you can feed up to 15 different animals—an experience that always delights the kids and creates wonderful memories to take home from our mini zoo.

Zookeeper for a Day

For those looking for an extraordinary experience, Munkholm Zoo offers the opportunity to become a zookeeper for a day. This is a unique chance to get a glimpse into what it’s like to work with animals on a daily basis at a mini zoo.

As an animal caretaker, you’ll have the opportunity to assist our talented staff, hear fascinating stories about the animals, and even take photos with your favorite animal. The day features both exotic animals and animals you can pet, so there’s something for everyone.

Please note that we can only offer one person the opportunity to be a zookeeper for a day at a time, and that the experience is tailored individually to each person’s wishes and needs. It is therefore an exclusive and personalized experience that creates memories to last a lifetime.

A cozy, child-friendly environment

Our mini zoo also features lovely green spaces with tables and benches, perfect for a relaxing break between activities. Here, families can enjoy a picnic in scenic surroundings while the children play and explore the many animals.

At our cozy café, Oasen, you can enjoy delicious meals, cold drinks, and sweet treats. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it in the designated picnic areas.

For larger groups or events, you can rent our party tent in the garden, where you can gather with family, friends, or colleagues for an unforgettable day centered around animals. This makes us an ideal choice for children’s birthday parties, school field trips, or family gatherings, where everyone can experience something new together.
